- Married for three+ years to a most wonderful woman who is much smarter than I am and too polite to rub my face in it
- Owner and publisher of The Merry Blacksmith Press
- Manging Editor of Medicine & Health/Rhode Island, the journal of the Rhode Island Medical Society
- Production Manager and Associate Editor of the SFWA Bulletin
- Head editor at BearManor Fiction
- Occasional writer of short fiction, nonfiction, and poetry
- Have sold commercial art, and mess around with watercolors and photography
- Freelance typesetter and layout artist
- Fan and practitioner of Irish traditional music. I primarily play the tenor banjo and the bodhran, but I’ve been known to torture a few other instruments as well
- Enjoy reading, fishing, and cooking
