One story a week for 52 weeks. At least 500 words. Preferably more–and most likely more–but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This challenge is inspired by Jay Lake who had an extended period of writing a story-per-week.

What do I intend to get out of it? The plan is to come out of this challenge a stronger and more productive writer.

Would Jay approve? I have no idea. In fact, if anyone who knew Jay better than I thinks that dedicating the plan to him is an awfully presumptuous idea, please let me know immediately. I will still do it with him somewhere in my mind, but I’ll call it something else. If anyone wishes to take on the challenge as well, I heartily encourage them to do so.
